Well, you are NOT allowed to rub the coins. Or rather, you are allowed to rub them, but both faces (heads and tails) feel the same. I hope the reason you wanted to rub them was indeed in order detect which face was facing upward (and not for some sort of sexual pleasure...). On a more serious note - none of the riddles on my site have this kind of "cheap" trick (such as rubbing the coins). I hate such riddles and will not post them. :-) Anyway, it is still a very easy riddle... Matan, good point!

Well, you are NOT allowed to rub the coins. Or rather, you are allowed to rub them, but both faces (heads and tails) feel the same.
